Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Swindon/Hybrid 
Salary: Up to 40K (37.5 hours/week)

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist with strong testing, stakeholder management and delivery assurance experience to support technology transformation and business change initiatives across multiple client engagements.

​

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, solution architects and delivery teams to ensure solutions are delivered with the highest standards of quality and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Functional, Integration, Regression, System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across technology projects.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive testing strategies.

  • Develop test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test scripts and test execution reports.

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing activities across multiple workstreams.

  • Manage defects through identification, triage, tracking, reporting and resolution validation.

  • Facilitate UAT workshops and support business users throughout testing cycles.

  • Monitor testing progress and provide regular status reporting, risk assessments and quality metrics to stakeholders.

  • Support quality reviews, delivery assurance activities and governance processes.

  • Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, integration teams and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

  • Support Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, defect triage and retrospectives.

 

Expected Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Technology Delivery Assurance.

  • Experience in: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Defect Management & Test Planning and Coordination

  • Experience preparing: Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Defect Reports, Test Execution Reports & Quality Assurance Documentation

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with business users, project managers, developers and technical teams. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & Experience working within distributed or remote project teams.

 

Desirable

  • Experience supporting SAP implementation or transformation projects.

  • Exposure to business analysis and requirements gathering activities.

  • Experience with delivery governance and operational assurance processes.

  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as HP ALM, or similar platforms.
